3. Send periodic newsletters, programme information, reminders to complete surveys and daily emails (upon request) (Communications)
4. Administer research questionnaires, surveys and other site features. (Research Data)
Log Data
Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site.
This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.
In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyse this information.
We do not use vulnerability scanning and/or scanning to PCI standards.

Personal Information
We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to outside parties any of your personal information. This does not include our Site hosting partners and other parties assisting us to operate the site, conducting our business or serving you. We may also release your information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce site policies or protect ours or others rights, property or safety.
If you have registered for a program your personal information will be shared through the secure Health Professionals Portal with your nominated registered doctor. We will also provide access to your information, upon your request, to other registered health professionals. Once access is gained by the health professional, data privacy will be governed by health professional-patient protocols.
We do not provide any personal information to Google, any other search engine or advertising service.
Communications
We use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, notice of upcoming training, events and research projects, reminders to complete assessment forms and daily emails to those who request them.
To ensure that we are compliant with the Australian Privacy Principle (APP1), Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) guidelines, American CAN-SPAM guidelines and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) :
1. We obtain consent by making all mailing lists “double opt-in”
2. We do not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses
3. We identify advertising in some reasonable way
4. We monitor third-party email services for compliance, if one is used
5. We honour opt out/unsubscribe requests quickly
6. We allow users to unsubscribe and read this privacy policy with links at the bottom of each email.
When you click the “Unsubscribe” link that is at the bottom of all our emails, we will not send you any further communication.
Research Data
Personally identifiable research data is kept on a HIPAA compliant database also compliant with the international security standards: ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018. We analyse this data with statistical methods. At the end of surveys and projects, in compliance with best practice for scientific research, the data is de-identified by removing locale, name, addresses and placed in a publicly accessible place. You will be informed of its location.
De-identified research results may be published, but this varies for each project. You will be informed of this in the project’s information statement.
Every research survey will have a specific and detailed information statement that will indicate exactly how your data is used. You can withdraw from the survey at any time and request your information is not used. You will be asked to agree to these terms before taking part in the survey.
Security
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
In the unlikely event of a data breach, you will be informed via email, usually within 3 business days.
