TREATMENT

For productive coughs

• Avoid the following drugs as they interfere or do not help:
  • expectorants
  • cough suppressants
  • antihistamines
  • decongestants
  • Drink large amounts of water instead.
• Water is a good cough medicine :- Take a swallow of water after every cough at night
• Fomentation chest and back
• Heating Compress to throat and chest at night
• Steam Inhalation with Eucalyptus Oil added

  • Chest Pack (include neck) repeat every 4-6 hours, 2-4 hours if febrile
