Hot:

• begin at 38°C, increase as tolerated to 51°C

Cleansing:

• equal parts of salt and bicarbonate of soda, 8mls or 1½ teaspoons/lt in
  • Chronic Diarrhoea

Sedative:

• normal saline, 8mls or 1½tspn/Lt in
  • Irritable Rectum

Cold:

• 15-5°C, 5-10min, hourly or use dry cooling in
  • acute Prostatitis

Alternate:

• 15°C, 15sec; 43-49°C, 15sec; repeating. 1-2x daily at night or after breakfast in
  • Constipation with low peristalsis
