Treatment Method:
Prevent by:
- Hot Sponge then
- Cooling Coil or
- Cephalic Compress
- Cold Mitten Friction 10-5°C
- or Cold Towel Rub 15-10°C
- 2-3x a day or when body temperature goes above 38.5°C
Treat with:
- Cooling Coil or Cephalic Compress and Ice Collar to stop cerebral congestion and coma
- Cold Mitten Friction 15°C every 2-3 hours until body temperature reaches 38°C - skin must be reddened so as to prevent retrostasis
In obstinate cases:
- Graduated Tub Bath 39-30°C with a Cool Enema

- Brand Bath or

- Cold Mitten Friction
