Treatment:

same for Mastoiditis

• Hot Foot Bath with mustard, Fomentations from one ear across the throat to the other ear remove occasionally and rub with ice water and dry .
• Hot Tub Bath finish with cold Pail Pour and vigorous rub then Fomentations as above.
• simultaneous Hot Water Bottle to one ear and cold water bottle to the other and Alternating Applications.
• For small children: Heating Compress to feet and lower legs

To reduce pain, heat from...

• a desk lamp or sitting in sun for 30 min
• Fomentation, Hot Water Bottle

To combat infection:-

• hot Salt Gargles
• charcoal Tablets held in mouth

At night:-

• Charcoal Poultice over ear held by a bandage
