Treatment Method:

• Keep skin warm and active
• Fomentations 15 min every 2-3 hours followed during interval by
  • Cooling Compress 15°C to chest change every 15 min
  • with Hot Leg Pack followed by...
  • Cold Mitten Friction and Dry Pack to legs
• Cold Mitten Friction or Cold Towel Rub to arms and hands then..
  • Scotch Douche
• Leg Bath with Ice Bag to chest, back and front - change compress as soon as it is warm

  If patient is chilly -

  • Hot Blanket Pack then heating Wet Sheet Pack

    • with or without Ice Bag over affected lobe.
    • finished with Cold Mitten Friction to the heated area
