Water injected into the rectum or colon, usually for cleaning but also as treatment for the surrounding organs.

For cleansing - 37°C, no more than 2 litres, introduce slowly, hold

For hydration - just water at 37°C, in stomach surgery,

For:

• Dehydration in
  • Persistent Vomiting
  • Gastric Haemorrhage,
• Gastric Dilation in
  • Typhoid Fever
• Post-pelvic Surgery - 1 litres of warm water
