General Method:
- Bed Rest
- withhold food 24 - 48 hours
- Liquid Diet, Fruit Juice, gruels of Dextrinised Cereals and Malted Foods
- Fomentations every 2 hrs, 15-20 min, in interval...
- Heating Compress at 15°C change every 5 min, less often if no fever

II. Chronic
General Method:
- Aseptic and Liquid Diet
- Hot Enema with soap followed by...
- Fomentations to abdomen 20 min 3x daily
- Protected Heating Compress during interval changed 30 min
- copious Water Drinking
- Graduated Tonic Cold 2x daily
- If elevated temperature Neutral Tub Bath 30-60 min daily
Contra-indications:
- cold Immersions
- Prolonged cold treatments
