- Cold Compress 15°C or Ice Bag over heart during operation, change every 15 min with rubbing till chest is red
Post operative:
- Square Chest Pack changed every 4 hours
- Enema at 35.5°C to encourage renal activity, unless contraindicated as in rectal surgery
