Follows colds and exposure to cold and dampness, cause is not understood. Almost invariably unfailing success promptly in static cases and in 3 days to 2 weeks in chronic cases from:

• large, very hot Fomentations to lumbar spine followed by
  • vigorous Alternate Douche (percussion) to same area then
  • heavy Massage or vibration to the large lumbar muscles
• negative static spray or short static spark or
  • slow Sinusoidal Current or static surge daily to produce vigorous muscle contraction.
