Derivative Analgesic

• Method the same as Hot Blanket Pack
• Hot Foot Bath before and during pack
• Large outside blanket to cover the whole body, loosely not tightly - it is for protection only.
• Wet blanket should include pelvis to axilla excluding the arms
• Apply a large dry fomentation cloth between the patient and the wet blanket
• Hot Water Bottle between folds of dry blanket over abdomen, spine bags on either side of trunk.
• 20-30min
• If Analgesic for Colic, omit Cold Mitten Friction at close
