Causes: Chronic wear on weight bearing joints causing pain. From overuse and obesity.
Treatment:
- Vigorous Alternate Compress or Alternate Baths followed by Massage
- hot Fomentations if no swelling
- Joint Compress after fomentations for pain and inflammation.
- Gently graduated exercises
- Tea Tree Oil - five drops in a small amount of other oil and massaged in to each joint.
- Therapeutic Diet - emphasise weight loss if possible
- Sun Bath
- Early to bed, late nights damage joints
