Treatment Method:
- Hot Blanket Pack and Hot Water Bottle until warm (or 15 min if acute) or
- Fomentations to Spine or Hot Tub Bath 3-6 min then ...
- prolonged Neutral Tub Bath 33-35°C or
- Large Hot Enema 37°C or
- Spinal Alternate Applications
- In acute cases followed immediately by:-
- Cold Mitten Friction
- Wet Sheet Rub or
- Cold Towel Rub continued until skin is red then
- Dry Pack. - every 2-3 hours or 2-3x a day
- Precordial Compress or Ice Bag 15 min repeated every hour
- Hot Water Drinking
- Hot or Alternate Gastric Lavage
- Alternate Compress on heart if necessary
- Heat to head if face is pale
