Treatment Method:
- Always check for and correct Cold Extremities
- Neutral Douche 3-5 min at bedtime
- prolonged Neutral Tub Bath 20-60 min 33°C
- hot Leg Bath or Flowing Foot Bath
- prolonged Wet Sheet Pack to heating or sweating if patient sleeps - Repeat as needed or 2-3x a day.
- Heating or Hot Hip and Leg Pack or dry Heat to Legs
Any of the above with continuous cold to head and neck by:
- Cooling Coil
- Cephalic Compress
- Evaporating Compress
- Ice Bag to head and face or
- Ice Collar
Followed by:
- At night - protected Wet Girdle
- or during day - Cold Mitten Friction or Wet Sheet Rub
- Scotch Douche to legs 39°C 2 min, 15°C 15 sec
- Downward stroking of head and neck
- Galvanic Current to cervical sympathetic
- Coloclyster 27°C 3x a day
