82, 60-120°C dry heat

7 stages

  1. Undressing - 2 glasses of hot or cold water
  2. Warming - 45-55°C, 3min 1 glass of water, 10min Massage for 2min - move on as soon as sweating
  3. Hot - 65-75°C - more water drinking
  4. Shampoo - 3 wet stages and then
  5. Soap Shampoo
  6. Cold Plunge - 15°C 2 sec if desired
  7. Cooling - dry, rub and lightly covered rest 15min or until cool.

Used in the same cases as Hot Air Bath

Body immersed in hot air - probably today's sauna

Treat as Russian Bath but harsher than steam

  • Temp raised from 50-75°C 15-45min until sweating freely
  • If delayed sweating
    • brisk friction to skin
    • patient often "behave badly" so watch until sweating.
